I’ve made up my mind 2020 is going to be a great year! Sure, it will have challenges and some rough spots, but it is still going to be great. One of the things I am super excited about is a word challenge to share with a friend or family member. I’m actually doing this with both my mom and one of my dearest friends. Here’s how it works:
- You each pick one word to represent the upcoming year.
- Share the word with your friend or family member.
- If you see your friend’s word when you are out and about, you either get it for them or take a picture of the word and send it to them.
This is such a fun way to support your family and friends. For 2020 I chose the word TRANSFORM. I was inspired by my friend who gave me the most beautiful card that read these words…
The dragonfly symbolizes change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realization. The change that is often referred to has its source in mental and emotional maturity and understanding the deeper meaning of life. The dragonfly moves with elegance and grace. As soon as I saw this necklace I thought of you. You are a beautiful, kind, strong young woman with so much going for you. You will fly high like you were meant to!
Don’t I have one of the most awesome, amazing, kind-hearted friends? This is the kind of woman we all need in our lives. Someone who lifts other women up, encourages them with the kindest words that give us hope. I was near tears when I read this card, and it is one of my favorites. This friend has been by my side through a few of the most difficult years of my life. When I was failing, struggling, and barely breathing…she loved me unconditionally. She offered words of wisdom without judgment. AND trust me, she could have judged me severely! The words she wrote to me that day will mean more than she will ever know. They have inspired me to find the collateral beauty in my brokenness, and to transform in to who I was meant to be with grace and elegance!
